Thanks for joining me!
“Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter.” — Izaak Walton
Call me Taylor Swift, well not the singing and shaking it off but the writing about everything bit.
I was sort of dating this guy 9 years or so ago, at one point he said ” Can we like text each other only 10 times max a day?” referring to the 50 plus texts we use to send to one another a day. Needless to say, we were different and did not go anywhere. Then I met a guy who would slip notes in my handbag after a date just to say how much he loved spending time with me, see that guy loves expressing himself in writing too, we have been married for 7 years :-).
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved writing. Just ask my poor husband about the last breakup letter I sent him, you would think I was writing an end of year report!
This time, I have decided to put that to good use and actually name it, save my Facebook and Instagram followers the long posts that I can’t seem to trim. Now, I can blog! Plus, by doing this, I will earn 20 Employability points at Uni and start to practice Creative Content. All good fun 🙂
So what will you read on my blog? Everything. I do have a lot to share starting from some life experience, work, business, family life, University, business.
Talking about business, I mean small business. I have been involved in a few of them in my lifetime and I do have quite a bit to share. I always tell myself “if I knew then what I know now, I would have saved myself a lot of hustle”. But hey, all served me quite well.
Why now? Well, why not now? In some ways, I have been writing books, novels, articles in my head. I just never thought seriously about putting them in the paper so here goes something.
What else can you expect? Typos, I mean expect loads of them. Maybe by the end of this academic year, I would have learned to remember the difference between “wright, right and write”.
In the past 4 years, I have become fascinated with digital marketing and social media. So much so, I have gone to uni to get a degree in Advertising and Digital Marketing Communications. I build what in my opinion would be quite a successful business in 3 years using online marketing and it was great while it lasted, some people have gone as far as to say they learned something from me. Shocking right? On a serious note, yes I will be sharing what has helped me in my business as well so stay tuned.
Last but not least, my health. Let’s put it this way, over the past 4 years I have had several diagnostics including 2 surgeries and still no solutions. It has been the most stressful period of my life but I know there are many other women out there, that would recognise this and maybe share their ideas or stories too.
So this one is for you, what would you like to read in my next post? I am super excited and can’t wait to read from you as well.
Let’s do this 🙂
